| I
encourage you to start doing an Art Journal. Keeping an Art
Journal
(or three) will help you in all kinds of ways. You will develop your
drawing and/or lettering skills. You will have a record of your
memories and daily life which will be more intense than any picture you
could take. You’ll look at the world more and more with
“artist’s eyes”. |

I encourage you to
pick up several books with different paper
thicknesses. One could be your “I don’t care book” in which you feel as
free to jot down grocery lists or future engagements as you would
making a nice sketch.
The
others should match your interests. I like art quotes, restaurant
vignettes, doodling for future paintings and playing with collage. |

Here
are some pages of different journals I have going. Take these ideas and
have fun. Feel free to share any fun pages on
my Facebook. |
