| WELCOME BACK TO MELISSA'S STUDIO The very first signs of Spring are beginning to show around the Studio. The perfectly-formed new Sedum domes are emerging and the Daffys are four inches tall already. Art Cat and I are anxious for Spring. ![]() Winter is a great time to work on Art Journals and Altered Books. My student Guest Artist this month is Barbara Tuttle, who has an amazing range of talents including innovative drawings, varied calligraphic styles, origami, quilting and electrical engineering! Note the beauty she finds in Geometry. ![]() Also highlighting her analytical style, check out this combined art and math assignment for kids. This clever and beautiful design teaches them fractions. ![]() Barbara's charming drawings are whimsical and fun: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As a result of her quilting skills she creates landscapes and collages with fabric. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Out of all these amazing talents, I think my favorites of this group are the art as lettering.
