A Midwinter Salute to Love from Melissa's Studio
 
 
This time of year I'm looking for signs of Spring, which are showing up around the Studio. The sedums are forming their perfect low crowns which will be four-foot crowns before they're done. And the crocuses are already popping through the dirt. Let's hear it for early growth which gives us hope for the future.



 





That future, looking more ominous than ever before in my (LOOOONG) lifetime, requires us to keep the  present and all that is good about it in the front of our minds. And that mostly means love: love for the wonderful people around us and love for the free beauty that nature puts before us every day. You do have to slow down a bit to notice these things and I encourage you to aid yourself in that endeavor by keeping an Art Journal and practicing Mindfulness.
 
Go back to my Art Lesson about Journaling for ideas in addition to cheap and easy to use supplies, then just keep it around you for unexpected free time. It will ground you and leave the most individual recording of your life that you can imagine. Do Heart Doodles to keep LOVE up front.  Open your heart and you won't wait long for good things to happen.
